Lamp Electronics Dual Bulb CCFL Kit

If you have a window in your case, I'm sure you would enjoy illuminating the parts inside your computer with a colored light. In this review, we will be taking a look at Lamp Electronics' dual bulb kit revision 4. The colors are green, red, blue, and UV (Ultra Violet).

Dimensions:
300mm x 4mm
Tube Voltage:
620V .74 Amps (8.88 watts)
Average Brightness:
29000 cd/m2
Average Life:
30,000 hrs

Initial Impressions:

Upon opening the package, I was impressed with what I saw. All of the components appeared to be housed inside the clear plastic packaging neatly and safely. The actual tubes appeared to be well constructed and didn't appear as though it could break easily. The On/Off switch can be easily mounted on a rear PCI slot so you won't have to worry about drilling any holes or anything of that nature. The way in which these lights are mounted is made simple with the use of included zip ties. So far, everything appears to be satisfactory.

Installation:

Installing the cold cathodes is quite simple. Just unpack all of the components, then using the plastic brackets, position them in your case where desired. Once you have done that, you can remove the sticky backing and press firmly with the mounts against the case. Next, slide the On/Off switch into an open PCI slot. Mount the inverter wherever you would like it inside your case by using the included Velcro. You will now need to provide power to the inverter by simply connecting it to an open molex connector.
