Microsoft and Logitech along with many other manufacturers seem to believe the more mouse buttons the better, but what happens if you are just looking for a simple mouse, that looks stylish but doesn’t come with the hefty price tag? Well, the product I'm about to review is just that, a cheap and simple, great looking mouse - The IR-7300 from I-Rocks.

Features:
∙ Streamline design with hair-line surface treatment
∙ Plug & Play simplicity
∙ 800 dpi
∙ Optical functionality accurate on almost any surface
∙ Ergonomic contour for comfortable use

The mouse is very visually appealing to the eye with a streamline design and a hairline surface treatment. Installation of the mouse is also a snap with its USB support for Plug & Play compatibility. With this optical technology implemented into the mouse, 800 dpi resolution offers twice the accuracy of a generic optical mouse. Moreover, due to optical technology the mouse tracking is accurate on almost any surface. With your hand being on your mouse all day, there is an ergonomic contour to keep you comfortable and pleased.

Analysis:
When immediately looking at the mouse, it shocked me due to the difference in color. When looking at mice I am generally used to look at a beige, silver, or black mouse but this one has a very vivid green-aqua appearance. Another intriguing thing about this mouse is that it appears to be longer and skinnier then a standard mouse. As mentioned previously, the majority of it is colored in a greenish bluish aqua color and around the scroll button and the bottom sides of the mouse, is a chrome finish. If simplicity is key, this mouse is great. The three standard buttons are provided – left click, right click, and the scroll button. This makes the mouse much simpler then other mice on the market since many these days exceed five buttons. Overall, this mouse looks to be very attractive with its appearance, however remains simple in controls.

Performance:
To test the performance of the mouse, it was simple. We replaced a 4-year-old Logitech 3-button mouse with the IR-7300. After we hooked the mouse up to an available USB port, (USB to PS/2 adapter is included) we were ready to test! Immediately after plugging it in we were stunned just how sensitive the mouse really was. We were forced to turn the pointer speed to slow until the mouse pointer fell back into a reasonable speed. During the days of testing, we did simple tasks such as word processing and instant messaging and then harder tasks such as gaming and using Photoshop. After we had adjusted the pointer speed, the mouse worked great. The mouse was very precise and accurate, all 3-buttons worked fine, and the shape of the mouse fitted well to the contour of my palm.

Conclusion:
If you feel mice are getting too complicated with 5+ buttons, and would rather stay with a simple mouse, I would have no reason not to recommend this mouse to you. It comes in a variety of different colors such as red and blue, for more information on this line of I-Rocks IR-7300 mice; please head on over to IOcombo.com.
