The system requirements for this device are merely a USB port and an operating system that is one of the following: Microsoft Windows 98/98SE, Windows 2000/Me/XP, Mac OS 9.0 or later, Linux kernel 2.4 or later. As you can see a wide range of operating systems are supported by this device. These types of devices may also be referred to as thumb drives because of their size and shape. Included in this package is the JetFlash drive, Label, Neck Strap, Driver CD, USB Extension Cable and a Quick Installation Guide. I was very pleased Transcend included a USB Extension Cable incase you don't have any USB ports on the front of your computer; you just plug the extension cable into the back of your computer and then the drive into the extension cable. I found it to be a bit hard to put the string for the neck strap into the hole. I spent literally 20 minutes attempting to get this piece of string through this very tiny hole. Some other nice features of this device include full compatibility with USB2.0 specifications, no external power or battery needed, write protection switch provided, password protection provided, boot-up function and a recovery function to return this device back to its initial state.
