Samtron 77V 17-inch CRT Monitor

Introduction:

Are you looking for a new monitor? Is your monitor too small? Or do you have problems with your existing monitor? If you answered yes to any of these questions you may be interested in this review. The Samtron 77V 17” CRT Monitor features a diagonal/horizontal pitch of .27mm/.23mm, maximum resolution of 1280 x 1024, plug & play support, energy 200 certified, and its compatible with both Macintosh and PC.

Performance:

The Samtron 77V monitor performs well with both word processing and gaming situations. I tested the monitor on Unreal Tournament 2003, Medal of Honor Allied Assault, Hitman 2, and Soldier of Fortune 2 Double Helix and in all of these games I experienced great looking graphics. I also tested the monitor using an ATI 9000 PRO 128MB, ATI 7000 PRO 64MB, and a TNT2 32MB and the monitor performed well on all of them.

Value For Money:

This monitor is priced at around $89-99 which is a fairly reasonable price. I would rate it 9 out of 10 as it performs great and I haven’t experienced any problems with it.

Conclusion:

I would highly recommend the Samtron 77V monitor to anyone on a budget. For only $99 you can get a good quality and durable monitor which will last you for many years to come. If you have a larger budget, there are many other monitors on the market that are slightly higher quality, but for normal home use, you won't really notice the difference.
