ThermalTake Silent Purepower 480W

Introduction:

ThermalTake is an extremely well known company due to the fact that they produce very reliable and solid computer related products. Today we will see if ThermalTake lives up to its name with their new Silent Purepower 480W power supply unit.

Features & Appearance:

ThermalTake Silent Purepower 480W features

• Serial ATA Hot Swap

• Active PFC

• Siilent Purepower 480W

• Xaser badge on side panel

• Peak Output 550W

• 2 VR fan speed controller

The Serial ATA Hot swap features a connector so you may wire up a Serial ATA hard drive to your power supply unit with out needing to purchase an additional accessory. There are two VR fan speed controllers allowing you to control the fan speeds from the front in a 5.25” drive bay or from the rear PCI slot. The maximum output is a whopping 480 watts so you should have plenty of power if you are planning to use this in a high-end computer. The fans on this power supply are very quiet with noise levels of 17dbA and you can manually adjust your fan speeds from 1125RPM to 3125RPM. It also has plenty of connectors to connect all of your peripherals and a nice amount of cable length. This power supply is totally feature packed. The appearance of the power supply unit is also very appealing. The case of this power supply unit is black with a very large Xaser sticker on the side. The fans mounted inside of the power supply unit are a very nice orange color to match with its gold fan guards. Not only does the power supply unit look nice, but also the 5.25-inch fan speed control is a nice color with a major portion of it being silver. You will not be un-satisfied with the appearance if you plan to place this power supply unit in a case with a side window.
