Today, we are reviewing another new and exciting product from Akasa, the Akasa Chimera. Fans have come a long way in the past few years, from dull and noisy fans to bright and silent LED fans. Now Akasa have gone a step further and produced a fan that doesn't just have a few LEDs to create one color, but twelve different LEDs which create a changing visual display of colors.

Features:
The Akasa Chimera is 80mm in diameter, runs using a 12 Volt three-pin motherboard header but also comes with 4-pin Molex converter. It pushes 28.76 CFM (cubic feet per minute) and has a noise level of 27.45 dB (Decibels). The fan is a nice clear crystal color which enhances the LEDs, thus creating a better appearance. It features three different colors; Blue, Green and Red, which flash in different patterns like a rainbow. Click HERE to watch a video of this fan in action!
The only thing I was disappointed about was that in the case next to blue cold cathodes, it was not very effective in terms of brightness. The red and green colours were very dull and the blue blended in with the cathodes. If there are no other lights around however, the fan is able to produce vibrant colors.
Conclusion:
Akasa are a great company with some wonderful and interesting products, today I reviewed their Akasa Chimera and loved it. The colors' fading in and out of each other is a great effect to a modded computer. This is a great product and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to add that edge to their modded PC.
