Soyo BayOne

Memory cards can be found in all different products on the market ranging from PDAs to MP3 Players. Soyo has recently released two products, which not only make it easier to read/write to one memory card format from your computer, but nine different formats! These formats include Smart Media (3.3V), Secure Digital, MultiMedia, Sony Memory Stick, Sony Memory Stick Pro, Compact Flash (both Type 1 & Type 2), and IBM Microdrive.

Features:

∙ 9-in-1 combination reader/writer support
∙ Four flash memory slots
∙ One front panel USB2.0 port
∙ Backward compatible with USB1.1
∙ Two front panel LEDs
∙ Designed for standard 3.5” and 5.25” drive bay

Four flash memory slots are found on the card reader to offer simultaneous read and write capabilities, it also supports bootable memory cards and hot swapping. One front panel USB2.0 port can be found on the BayOne XP to allow you easy access to connect USB devices to the front of your computer. If your computer still runs on USB1.1, rather then USB2.0 you have no reason to worry since the reader is supported on USB1.1 also. Two LEDs are located on the front panel for diagnostic purposes. In addition, the reader can fit in either 3.5” or 5.25” drive bays, so you should have no troubles locating room for the device.

The BayOne DV is the same as the BayOne XP, but the DV offers a firewire port in replace of a USB port.
