Logisys LED Acrylic Footstep

A large number of computer enthusiasts mod their computer cases with windows, lights, and other such mods, however not as many people mod their computer feet. Logisys Computer has created a product, which will make your computer feet as spiffy as can be. The product is the LED Acrylic Footstep for Chassis by Logisys Computer.

Contents:

Included in this package is a power button, a PCI bracket, feet, double side sticky pads, and LEDs. The power button is used so that you can turn the footstep LEDs on or off with the flip of a switch. The PCI bracket is a simple bracket, which enables you to mount the power button to the back of your case. The clear plastic feet appear to be built from solid transparent plastic and are approximately an inch in height. The double-sided sticky pads keep the feet connected to the bottom of your computer case. There are four blue LEDs in this package, one for each foot.

Instructions:

Installation is simple and can be completed in a matter of minutes. Remove your existing case feet, if you happen to have no feet on your case, simply drill four holes in the proper location on the bottom of the case. It may require a bit of force to remove your existing feet so be patient. After you have four holes in the bottom of your case, using the double-sided tape, paste the new footsteps on the bottom of the case in the holes. If you would like the power button to be located on a PCI slot, install the PCI bracket and attach the power button to that. Connect the LEDs to your power supply via an available molex connector. Place the LEDs in the holes of the feet. Installation is complete, it's that simple!

Impressions:

After the easy installation, I was impressed by just how nice the footsteps were. When the case was sitting inside my desk, it appeared as if it were floating, since all you could see below the case was blue light. I was so pleased with their appearance that I installed another set of feet on a subwoofer. They added a nice new effect.

Conclusion:

I was very impressed by the Logisys Computer LED Acrylic Footstep for Chassis. The installation was easy as can be, and it gave a nice appearance to the case. One set of these feet retail for approximately $10-$20 making it an ultimate bargain. I would recommend the Logisys Computer LED Acrylic Footstep for Chassis if you are looking to spice up your computer case.

Pros:

∙ LEDs are very bright
∙ Easy installation
∙ On/Off Switch
∙ Very nice appearance
∙ Cheap ($10-20)

Cons:

∙ May require you to drill 4 holes in the bottom of your case
∙ For best appearance, your case will need to be set on a solid flat surface rather than carpet
∙ Feet could potentially fall off when dragging your computer across the floor
